Performs auxiliary tasks as needed for the production of finished component. Responsible for tumble mixing material, cleaning, equipment, and drying material under our quality management system. Responsible to ensure materials are being manufactured under CPT business practices while adhering to our quality policy statement.      

The Quality Engineering Intern may be involved in projects in the following areas:  Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, Process Validation, CAPA/ Complaint, Metrology, Inspection Methods, Test Method Validation, or Polymer Engineering.    This position is a 12-week paid internship located in Bloomington, Indiana.  In addition to their hourly wage, interns receive a one-time housing stipend.  Interns work full time onsite and have access to an onsite cafeteria, fitness center, learning events, and more.  The internship is offered for a period extending from mid-May through mid-August (exact dates are mutually agreed upon, dependent on school calendars). Interns are assigned a direct mentor with whom they will work closely.  Interns present a capstone presentation at the conclusion of their internship to site leadership.  All internships provide hands-on experience with meaningful projects in the Medical Device Component/ Plastics/ Extrusion/ Injection Molding Manufacturing Industry.

The Tool and Die Technician at Cook Polymer Technology will plan, machine, assemble, and measure tooling detailed on work orders to fabricate jigs, fixtures and custom tooling to support manufacturing plastic medical device components. Meet tight tolerance drawing requirements through selection of proper processes based on material and subsequent process requirements. Adjust existing tooling and drawings to address manufacturing issues. Maintain tools and equipment for production ready.

The Computer System Validation Manager works with management, especially the Computer System Applications, Information Technology, and Quality Assurance departments, to establish the philosophy for validation approaches to computer systems and IT infrastructure. The information technology manager will work with Information Services management to establish the strategic direction for the department including establishing departmental independence for assessments.

Responsible for providing technical support for the day-to-day production activities in the manufacture of custom, plastic components used in the assemblies of various medical devices.  This is a hands-on position with visibility on the manufacturing floor and requires a high level of interaction with the production, product development, and quality teams.   The engineer is responsible for supporting product development activities, continuous improvement, complaint resolution, CAPA investigations and other quality initiatives. 

Responsible for designing and developing components for medical devices. The Development Engineers initiate and oversee projects for CPT components from preliminary concepts to release of product. Responsible for meeting customer specifications throughout the development and design of product(s) and processes.

The District Manager's primary duty is to sell medical devices and related equipment and services to physicians, hospitals, and outpatient facilities by establishing relationships with these health care providers.  The District Manager will be customarily and regularly away from Cook's place of business in performing job functions and duties.   The Endoscopy division of Cook Medical focuses on the accessories for endoscopic procedures to both diagnose and treat diseases throughout the gastrointestinal tract.   Product line includes wire guides, ERCP catheters, sphincterotomes, stone extraction devices, dilation balloons, cytology devices, plastic biliary stents, biopsy needles, metal biliary, esophageal, duodenal and colonic stents, enteral feeding tubes, hemostasis devices, polypectomy snares, and endoscopic ultrasound needles.   For more information about Cook Medical, visit www.cookmedical.com  

The Injection Mold Technician is responsible for the set up and break down of Injection Molding and Auxiliary equipment. This position is also responsible for assurance of the quality of parts being molded, trialing of new and modified molds, machine maintenance, removing of runners and scrapping of non-conforming parts/materials, in an ISO 13485 team environment. This position is a Direct position and will work with the production teams as required. This position works under moderate supervision.

The Software Engineer 2 develops, implements and documents software and programs that provide the technical solutions to meet specifications and business requirements defined by company objectives to promote effective, efficient, and compliant operations. Camstatar\OpCenter experience preferred, ideally Camstar's Manufacturing Inter-Operability (MIO) software.   **For this position, qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The Environmental Health & Safety Engineer at Cook Inc. recommends, maintains, plans, and monitors compliance and training with OSHA, NFPA, IDEM, EPA and industry best practices.

The Machine Operator at K-Tube Technologies will be skilled in operating machinery in one or more departments of Weld, Plug, Sink, Straightening, Cutting, Chop Cut, and CG.  Knowledgeable in performing set ups in accordance with established procedures. Trained in the proper use of tooling for small, medium or large gauge sizes. Will also be responsible for the maintenance of all tooling used in manufacturing. Instructed in sampling procedure and inspection techniques on measuring the OD, using OD gauge and pin gauge for measuring ID.  Must be certified to operate a machine and sign off on production. Performs process checklist and sampling procedures.   All positions are temp-to-hire - training to be certified on processes, must complete minimum of 520 hours in order to convert to FT K-Tube employee.  Training may not be on the same shift as position.   Base pay rate is $21.50/hr plus 10% shift differential - 2nd shift, 15% shift differential - 3rd shift.   K-Tube has 3 shifts for production employees:  First shift 6:00am – 2:30pm; Second shift 2:00pm – 10:30pm; Third shift 10:00pm – 6:30am.  Third shift works Sunday night through Friday morning.  First and Second shifts work Monday through Friday.  Shift schedules may be adjusted due to business needs at management’s discretion.  Employees may be required to work mandatory overtime on Saturdays and/or any other days scheduled per business needs.   Alternate and part-time shifts are also available - Alternate shifts - 12 hour shifts - Day - Fri-Sun, 10:00am - 10pm, Night - Thurs - Sat - 10:00pm - 10:am; Part-time shifts - Night - Thurs-Sat, 10:00pm - 6:30am, Day -Fri-Sun, 6:00am - 2:30pm   Please indicate what shift you are interested in when submitting your resume.
