The IT Infrastructure Engineer at Cook MyoSite Inc. is a senior level role responsible for administering the company’s IT Infrastructure; performing a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and training tasks to ensure infrastructure performance meets company and user requirements.


• Oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance and design of the information technology network.
• Evaluate the purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment and software.
• Investigate user problems and identify their source when escalated by IT Support Services Associates
• Assist application administrators with troubleshooting application performance test and implement solutions.
• Maintain security updates on all applicable systems.
• Coordinate with vendors to achieve operational objectives.
• Manage multiple IT projects simultaneously.
• Install, configure and maintain personal computers, servers, and networking equipment.
• Plan and implement network security, including firewalls, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity and account management.
• Maintain accurate and up to date network documentation.
• Design IT-based solutions to meet business goals.
• Develop and deliver technical and instructive training to staff and IT Support Services Associates.


• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field or 6 years direct, relevant experience in network administration to provide a comparable background

• Minimum of 3-6 years' experience in administering infrastructure systems. Proficient with network protocols, security, business continuity, and virtualization is preferred

• Experience with NetApp Cluster management, Commvault Simpana, Cisco IOS, Cisco UCS, VMWare vSphere, Windows Server, Riverbed appliances, MPLS, NetBrain, PowerShell, AWS technologies, MS Azure, Exchange online, Active Directory, Group Policy, and SCCM is preferred

• Up-to-date with changes in technology and the business implications/applications of new technologies
• Ability to learn and support new systems and applications, and the ability to provide technical training to end users.
• Basic understanding of cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and related regulations associated with Bio/Pharmaceutical product manufacturing
• Demonstrable knowledge of Storage Area Networks, Backups, and Disaster Recovery concepts
• Demonstrable knowledge of Network switches, routers, firewalls, Wireless LAN controllers, and related network equipment.
• Demonstrable knowledge of VMWare vSphere environment
• Demonstrable knowledge of network security practices and implementation.


Physical Requirements:

• Laboratory Setting (Non-Production): General office, warehouse and laboratory setting with potential (limited) exposure to hazardous chemicals and/or harsh disinfectants while in BioSafety Level II.

• Ability to conduct and hear ordinary conversation and telephone communication.
• Must be able to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended work hours and/or extra work hours, sometimes on short notice as required.
• Ability to work under specific time constraints.
• Must be able to sit at desk, in meetings and/or work on a computer for long or extended periods of time.
• Visual and manual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
• Must be able to sit at desk, in meetings and/or work on a computer; physically capable of standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, twisting and bending with or without reasonable accommodation; climbing a mobile ladder and/or other types of ladders on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to physically manipulate computers and laboratory or manufacturing equipment including wiring and cables
• Physically capable of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing steps and ladders, reaching, twisting and bending on occasion with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be capable of performing PPE gowning procedures to enter BioSafety Level II including safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, specialized clothing including laboratory scrubs (pants and shirt) and appropriate shoes required on occasion; potential limited exposure to hazardous chemicals and/or harsh disinfectants while in BioSafety Level II.
