Overview

The person in this position has specific responsibility for a sub-set of projects that are assigned to Core Products Engineering. Duties and
responsibilities include supporting a variety of projects as-needed (by project leaders and management), authoring reports, writing quality system
documents, conducting testing, performing qualifications and completing validations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct process validations, re-validations and validation
    review reports in a timely manner and according to quality
    system requirements.
  • Learn to effectively use continuous improvement tools (e.g.
    5S, value stream mapping, theory of constraints, kaizen) to
    improve design and manufacturing quality.
  • Support projects being led by other employees.
  • Collaborate with others at CBI in order to complete assigned
    work.
  • Collect, organize and perform basic analysis of data as
    requested by management.
  • Update quality system documentation such as work
    instructions and specifications as needed.
  • Assist in selecting, qualifying and improving production
    equipment, tools and instruments with the goal of preventing
    defects, designing for manufacturability and improving quality.
  • Conduct risk analyses and sustaining engineering activities for
  • Core Products as-needed to support Regulatory or other
    quality system activities.
  • Remain current and apply the understanding of FDA, ISO
    13485 and quality system requirements in carrying out duties.
  • Conduct other corporate duties when required.

Qualifications

  •  
  • Pursuing BS in engineering
  • Strong interest in working in a manufacturing engineering
    position
  •  Strong interest in working in the regulated medical device
    industry
  • Able to work independently and in interdepartmental teams
  • Able to effectively listen to ideas and concerns coming from
    Production personnel
  • Able to effectively communicate ideas to others
  • Good record keeping and documentation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Willing to work with material derived from animal tissues
  • Sufficient background to generally understand medical and
    biotechnology terminology
  • Ability to make prototypes and conduct bench tests.
