Responsible for designing and developing components for medical devices. The Product Development Engineers initiate and oversee projects for CPT components from preliminary concepts to release of product. Responsible for meeting customer specifications throughout the development and design of product(s) and processes.


-Collaborate with R&D engineers on new product, tooling and fixture designs
-Collaborate with production engineers on process and system designs
-Provide CAD models and prints for new and existing designs
-Advanced 3D design paradigms such as surface modeling and top-down design
-Work within change management system for drawing approval
-Collaborate with R&D engineers on 3D printed options for quick turn-around prototypes.
-Work with machine technicians/operators to improve tooling and fixture designs
-Proactive in providing design solutions to new and existing product and process designs

-Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Must have effective oral, written and presentation communication skills
-Ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision


-A.A.S. and applicable work experience, or 5+ years’ work experience designing for product and manufacturing.
-3D CAD software/Solid Works/Auto CAD
-Blueprint and engineering drawing literacy.
-Proficient with ASME Y14.5
-Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
-Creo Parametric, PTC Windchill
-3D Printing, CNC functionality
-Photo rendering, Adobe Illustrator
-Manufacturing capabilities and limitations for plastics and metals.


Physical Requirements:

-Stand or sit (stationary position) with movement of drawing mouse
-Walk around equipment, underneath or over for measurements
-Use hand/fingers to handle of feel inspection gage/devices
-Climb stairs/ladders
-Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force
