The Service Technician provides high quality, efficient and timely repair, preventative maintenance and management of Cook’s incoming and rotating inventory in the Memphis service depot. Technician may be expected to provide installation, maintenance and repairs at customers’ facilities in addition to working in the service depot. All service activities shall be in accordance with the quality management system and manufacturers requirements.


 - Read, understand, and carry out written and oral instructions
- Read, build, and repair equipment from simple to complex drawings
- Perform scheduled maintenance on field based installed equipment
- Provide legible and accurate documentation
- Work with hand/manually-powered tools and some power tools
- Assemble and disassemble objects to set-up and operate equipment
- Respond with limited notice to requests from within the territory, such as emergency service requests, preventative maintenance requests and/or
installation requests
- Must have excellent customer relations skills including the ability to explain and train
- Perform work in compliance with Cook Quality System
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
- Ability to stay focused and on task
- Complete quality work within acceptable time frames


• Two year technical degree in electronics or Biotechnology; will consider a Bachelor's degree in lieu of technical degree
• Strong math skills and technical aptitude
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (e.g. Word, Excel)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to travel approximately 30%
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds
• Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, machinery, etc.
• Work with chemicals such as adhesives, acetone and isopropyl alcohol
• Able to do continuous repetitive motions using hands

• Good eyesight, hand dexterity and attention to detail
• Frequently required to stand for extended periods, walk, use hands to grasp, carry, feel or touch; reach with hands and arms
