The Cook Inc. Internship position is a 12-week paid internship located in Spencer Indiana supporting complaint product evaluations, complaint investigations and process event notification investigations.



-Perform work per external and internal quality standards.

-Interface with intenal and external groups on quality related issues.

-Assist in development and implementation of production controls.

-Perform investigation of product non-conformance/complaints, root cause analysis, montoring/trending of process and product, and escalation of identified issues.

-Execute risk assessment as needed and facilitate development and completion of risk file documentation.

-Conduct Risk-based decision making and effective resolution of issues.

-Lead or support CAPAs as necessary.

-Drive continuous improvement efforts through facilitation, leading, and collaborating with cross function teams including quality, engineering, production, clinical, and regulatory affairs.

-Manage conflict resolution as it relates to technical situations.

-Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth.

-Adhere to the Quality Management System and it's processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements.


-All candidates should have an interest in a career in the Life Sciences field, a willingness to take initiative, and an ability to work well with others.

-Candidates should be students entering their Junior or Senior year the following fall semester or entering graduate school; candidates who graduate the spring semester before this internship are also eligible.

-A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.

-All candidates must provide proof of enrollment (including pre-registration certification for the following fall) for consideration.

- Multiple disciplines will be considered (e.g., Marketing, Life Sciences, General Business, and Management)
