Overview

The Events Management Team partners with stakeholders to translate strategic business goals into into physical and digital event experiences that builds customer relationships, engages employees and connects us to the communities where we work. The Event Specialist is an event professional who supports the planning and execution of internal, external and Medical Education events.

Responsibilities

• Serves as part of the central event management team for internal, external and medical education events
• Assists in the creation of exceptional physical and virtual event environments that build customer relationships and engage employees
• Partners with Division Event Managers to ensure event planning and execution achieves desired performance metrics
• Assists in the utilization of event-specific tools, software, and mobile apps
• Serves as a part of the teams who support global and regional objectives and continual improvement
• Manages many projects simultaneously all at various stages of completion

• Knowledge of country-specific compliance and legal requirements related to interactions with Healthcare Professionals
• Provides on site support when needed
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Task-orientated and well-organized
• Ability to resolve conflicts
• Must work effectively with and for others to achieve company goals.
• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements.
• Must maintain company quality standards.
• Ensure that Cook’s Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook’s behalf.

 

Qualifications

• 2 years of event management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Tourism/ Events Management Preferred
• Medical marketing and/or event experience preferred
• Experience in the healthcare industry preferred

 

 

Physical Requirements:

• Works under general office environmental conditions.
• Travel to events to manage on site logistics (up to 20% of the time)
• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
• Occasional domestic travel may be required.

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
