The primary purpose of the Continuous Improvement Team Lead is to analyze production utilizing problem solving methodologies, analyze data, write project charters, train and mentor employees in lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma, partner with manufacturing leadership to drive improvements, and provide direction to the functional team.


- Coach, teach, mentor team members, assess results of changed processes, document results via data analysis and written project summaries, communicate results to team members and stakeholders.
- Analyze production utilizing problem solving methodologies to identify root causes and develop appropriate solutions.
- Develop and track KPI's (key performance indicators).
- Review various processes to determine opportunities for improvement & optimization.
- Conduct root cause analysis utilizing Lean tools to identify waste reduction.
- Analyze data & write project charters to create rapid improvement plans.
- Conduct time studies to develop efficient process flow and increase productivity.
- Train and mentor employees in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma, helping them to understand, embrace, and utilize those skills and further grow a culture of continuous improvement.
- Attend, present and provide data for meetings to include project updates and reviews.
- Lead Continuous Improvement Team and Activities in supporting Manufacturing and Engineering Initiatives.
- Partner with Manufacturing Leadership in driving 6S, Standard Work, Daily Management and Improvement Activities.
- Partner with Leadership to provide coaching on strategic direction and change management initiatives.
- Drive Initiatives that meet and exceed deliverables of Performance Metrics.
- Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth.
- Adhere to the Quality Management System and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

- Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.
- Must strictly adhere to safety requirements.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Must maintain company quality and quantity standards.
- Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative and independent work situations and environments with
minimal supervision.
- Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations.


- BS in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Cook experience or significant relevant engineering experience.
- A history of high performance demonstrating proficiency in several of the above listed job functions/duties preferred.
- Dependent upon demonstrated proficiency, significantly skilled individuals lacking in the minimum length of experience or education listed above may be considered for this position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.


Physical Requirements:

- Works under general office environment conditions.
- Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and communicate.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds.
