Overview

The Continuous Improvement Skills Coach is responsible for providing expertise and leading Continuous Improvement (CI) Skills training to relevant Cook Medical team members, coach and mentor CI Skills delegates through CI projects, build and maintain strong links with the Global CI Function and its Partners, participate in global deliverables ensuring regional alignment as appropriate, support the CI strategy and Cook Medical business plan. This position may be performed remotely. 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing ,delivering, and continual improving CI Skills training.
• Provide coaching and mentoring for CI skills delegates to ensure the delivery of CI projects related to the Cook CI Skills training.
• Contribute to the strategic direction for the CI team in line with Cook Medical's strategic imperatives.
• Support the development of goals for the regional CI team to meet business needs in liaison with regional business leadership.
• Support the Implementation of CI methodologies across various departments within Cook Medical to improve efficiencies.
• Measure and report on progress against team goals/projects
• Track and report on cost of CI projects and alignment to target spends and ROI of associated projects

• Ensure personal and team compliance with Cook values, quality system procedures, policies and relevant medical device standards and regulations
• Identify and monitor training and/or development requirements within the team and ensure training is conducted within the required time frame
• Develop networks with internal and external entities to assist in meeting priorities and promote innovation
• Leads by example, and guides the performance of others

Qualifications

• Lean black belt accreditation and/or demonstrable hands-on experience in developing and delivering CI training, leading successful improvement events
• Proven and demonstrable history of training groups and individuals in Classroom Based Training (CBT) and/or Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT)
• Demonstrable hands-on experience deviling Improvement projects

• Understanding of adult learning principles and knowledge retention best practices – 70/20/10 learning (application/peer-sharing/classroom)
• Ability to work across the entirety of the business at all levels
• Experience in Coaching groups and individuals

 

Physical Requirements:

• Works under general office environmental conditions
• Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.
• International and domestic travel as required
