The Administrative Assistant at Cook Medical is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective complex administrative and staff support for assigned Leadership, as well as building support duties.


• Provide all necessary administrative support for the assigned Leadership team and other leaders as requested
• Collect information and prepare presentations and communication materials to increase employee awareness and engagement
• Provide administrative, logistical and organizational support for Global Supply Chain projects
• Coordinate and maintain ownership of management calendars and meeting schedules through prioritization and direction, including conference room reservations
• Coordinate and administer all building flex and meeting/collaboration space reservations, including daily communication to onsite staff
• Arrange teleconference calls, webcasts and Town Halls with Global Supply Chain team
• Manage and submit expense reporting, ensuring timely submission of required documents and payment
• Attend meetings in order to record minutes; compile, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetings, when requested
• Compile numerical or statistical data and prepare reports, business correspondence, memos, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheets, database, and/or presentation software
• Prepare agenda for visitors and coordinate travel, including international
• Greet guests and follow check in procedures while adhering to security protocol for the building
• Point of contact for onsite meetings and assist with catering, IT and special requests
• File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports adhering to retention policies and practices
• Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes, email, and mail
• Responsible for confidential information which typically consists of company/division sensitive information
• Update and coordinate departmental SharePoint sites and work with IT, as needed
• Make department purchases as necessary, including but not limited to supplies and employee recognition items


• Bachelor's degree or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background
• Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction/supervision
• Previous office experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong editing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Experience producing spreadsheets and other computer-generated data analysis reports
• Proven ability to quickly learn new technical subject matter that may be unrelated to area of formal training
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

• Works under general office environmental conditions
• Sitting for extended periods
• Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers and equipment
• Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist to move tables and chairs for appropriate room set up
• Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel or crouch
