Overview

The Training Specialist at Cook Medical supports training efforts to maintain consistency and accuracy of the procedures and instructions, policies and internal standards related to training. The Training Specialist is responsible for working with training teams within other functions to roll out and implement trainings.

Responsibilities

• Support training initiatives at the direction of Global Supply Chain (GSC) leadership
• Work with Talent & Development teams to create online trainings for personnel
• Identify and implement LMS (Cook Learn) training opportunities in coordination with cross functional teams
• Assist in administration of Cook Learn system to ensure compliance with all required trainings
• Develop and maintain training requirements for employees
• Ensure all electronic training content is up to date and accurate
• Support training effectiveness activities globally and document accordingly

• Develop and maintain training material
• Facilitate and deliver training to applicable employees of all levels in the organization as needed
• Must ensure trainings adhere to quality and policy requirements

• Support Global Supply Chain (GSC) leadership with progression reports, data, etc. 
• Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously within identified time-frames, with little supervision
• High level of attention to detail required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background
• Proven strong presentation skills and relationship building skills required
• 1-3 years of experience with developing training materials/requirements
• Previous experience with administration of a Learning Management System (LMS) required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Experience with electronic training tools preferred
• Experience and knowledge of quality standards  and procedures preferred
• Experience working with multiple projects under minimal supervision

• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Cook does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

 

Physical Requirements:

• This position is a hybrid position, which requires regular on-site visits, 2-3 times per week
• Must reside within a reasonable distance, within a 2 hour radius via car, of Cook Medical in Bloomington, Indiana

• Requires some early morning or late evening meetings
• Works under general office environmental conditions
• Sitting for extended periods
• Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers and equipment
