Responsibilities include serving as in-house resource and subject matter expert for the Cook Global Ethics & Compliance Program (Program) for all employees. Implementing relevant policies, procedures, and trainings. Monitoring and communicating current enforcement trends related to business activities. Participating in program audits, development, monitoring and investigations. Updating board and executive management on status of the program, as requested.


- Maintain a high level of knowledge of the organization's diverse business activities as they activities relate to the Program.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of the relevant trade association business codes of ethics/practices as they pertain to the various Cook Group entities.
- Assist the E&C function by continuing to develop the E&C Program to align with the DOJ's expecation of the use of technology and data.
- Assume a proactive role in developing and maintaining strategic relationships to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and various stakeholders cross-functionally and across the various Cook Group entities.
- Utilize knowledge of the E&C risk assessment process to advise on risk mitigation activities.
- Support the CECO in communicating the Program requirements globally.

-Assist with the evaluation of the Program globally for effectiveness.
- Help the CECO to facilitate the annual strategic planning and objective setting process for Cook Group.
- Oversee the development of metrics and data analytics at the Cook Group level to measure and demonstrate the effectiveness of the Global Program and coordinate reporting of E&C metrics to relevant stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain relevant Cook Group Written Standards aligned with Cook's mission and values and in response to internal requirements and External Applicable Standards.
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement in the E&C function, including developing feedback mechanisms.
- Participate in professional development and update job knowledge related to ethics and compliance regularly.
- Facilitate E&C reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.

- Translate and communicate technical and complex data into readily accessible language.

- Utilize quantitative methods to perform data analysis, including benchmarking.

- Work with Government Affairs to respond to relevant, pending legislation.

- Assist in management of the function (budget, business plan, headcount, annual reports).

- Work together with the E&C Project Manager and E&C Admin.

• Bachelor's degree from a four year institution, required (library science, law, political science, business); advanced degree, preferred
• 10+ years Ethics and compliance experience required; experience specific to medical device/healthcare preferred
• E&C professional credential (CCEP, CHC, or equivalent), required

• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in designing with Microsoft Office Suite is essential
• Experience with business analytics


Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• General office environment

• Requires sitting for extended periods

• Requires close visual acuity when working with computers, etc.

• Requires occasional early morning or late evening teleconferences

• Domestic and international travel required
