Overview

The Senior Quality Inspector at K-Tube Technologies uses common and specialized inspection gauges and measurement equipment, selects the proper gauge and tolerancing from written instructions to inspect tubing, raw materials, other products and tooling. This position also provides calibration support and GageMaster for the calibration system and can interpret and perform inspections from customer and K-Tube Specifications. 

Responsibilities

• Performs all Physical Properties Testing and is capable of using all Lab and Test Equipment
• Product – In-process, Final, First Article, as well as CC, RA, DMR verifications
• Purchased Critical Materials
• Final Release of product
• Validations, QA Evaluations and Engineering Projects
• Assist in gauge correlation studies and understands GRR
• Documents inspection results on variety of forms, spreadsheets and templates
• Utilizes and participates in the Nonconforming materials systems (NCM, DMR, DRA) and documents findings in the appropriate record
• Conducts and leads the daily MRB meeting and the subsequent review on Teams, of identified nonconformances, generates reports and tracks completion of DMR activities
• Performs Containment / Inventory Activities
• Coordinates QA inspections, and re-work activities with Production
• Performs calibrations to maintain inspection, measuring and test equipment
• Utilizes GageMaster to track and document calibrated gages
• Performs correlation testing
• Assists in the prioritization of other Inspectors’ tasks. Works independently and well with others
• Responsible for training and updating QA Inspectors as needed
• Prepares, analyzes and presents DMR / MRB summary reports for presentation to management and staff
• Responsible for inventory and requisitioning of all QA lab supplies, small tools, and equipment
• Maintains QA lab in a clean and orderly fashion in compliance with housekeeping and safety standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required

• 5 years in manufacturing environment
• Some college math, technical training preferred
• ASQ CQI certification preferred

• Must have good communication skills, both written and spoken
• Must be able to follow procedures, quality plans that include verification of all types
• Knowledgeable of MS Word and Excel and Teams

 

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Moderate to heavy physical effort required
• Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility
• Work performed in both a manufacturing and office environment
• Exposure to metals, lubricants, solvents, electrolytes and other hazardous materials
• Required to wear K-Tube t-shirt

• Safety glasses and safety shoes are required
• Other personal safety equipment required as listed in SDS depending on task may include safety goggles, ear protection, full-face shield, apron, arm guards, rubber boots and gloves
