Overview

The Clinic Director is responsible for all operational aspects of the Cook Family Health Center, the primary care medical practice operated for Cook Group company employees and their families.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all staff personnel, patient scheduling/flow, purchasing, laboratory services, pharmacy operations, facility maintenance, IT and telephone systems
• Manages relationship with Southern Indiana Medical Providers for provider services
• In collaboration with the Medical Director, establish and track quality measures and metrics
• Oversees utilization management and case management activities performed in conjunction with the Cook Group Health Plan
• Oversees occupational medicine services provided to the Cook Group companies
• Works collaboratively with the center’s Medical Director while maintaining primary responsibilities for clinic operations
• Works with corporate procurement to negotiate vendor pricing (materials, supplies, reference laboratory services, etc.)
• Primary liaison with Cook Group companies
• Updates and maintain CFHC policies and procedures to maximize patient/customer service
• Addresses patient complaints and concerns
• Collaborates with Insurance department to obtain data, enrollees, claims, claims data, and healthcare plan design issues
• Works with Architecture & Engineering to designate facility & maintenance department needs

• Must strictly adhere to and enforce Cook Clinic Employee Manual, Cook Code of Conduct, Cook Electronic Information Policy, HIPAA & OSHA regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or other clinical and business experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background
• Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years successfully leading and managing groups of people
• Clinical/healthcare leadership experience preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

• Works under general office environmental conditions
• Sitting for extended periods of time, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.
• Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel or crouch
• Able to lift 20+ pounds occasionally
