Overview

The Cook Medical Supply Chain Fellowship is a one-year, competitive, paid opportunity to do something extraordinary and be part of the supply chain talent of the future. You will have direct access to organization leadership and mentors while you create solutions to real-world problems with industry-wide impact. This fellowship is a unique partnership between a healthcare supplier and a healthcare provider, meaning you will be able to transparently work for both sides of the healthcare supply chain industry.

A common challenge in the healthcare industry is the accuracy and availability of data desired by suppliers and providers to conduct business, provide care, and build mutual trust. The focus of this year’s project will be to establish trust between provider and supplier by facilitating the data sharing and transparency required to build resilience across the healthcare industry. This will be achieved by fostering collaboration between provider and supplier in working toward solving three data-sharing-related problems or opportunities facing the industry, for example, perfect order, consignment right-sizing, forecasting and item cross-referencing. These data-sharing efforts will be used to build trust. By the end of the project, the fellow should have prepared both the supplier and the provider to make continued efforts to sustain trust and exchange information. The output will also serve as a scalable model for other supplier-provider relationships.
