Overview

The Manufacturing Operations Manager at Cook Vandergrift is accountable for the performance of Manufacturing Operations in the areas of Compliance, Effectiveness, Efficiency and Collaboration (CEEC) and in accordance with corporate and functional goals. This includes leadership and responsibility for the people, processes, materials, equipment and systems within the designated unit.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure quality products in a timely manner
• Continually analyze and evaluate strategic information to provide effective solutions and/or recommendations to ensure KPI goals are met
• Implement and drive a culture of continuous improvement
• Lead and manage cross-functional teams that support manufacturing
• Recognize and execute change management initiatives
• Provide effective report-outs and presentations to various audiences
• Review and further develop subordinates
• Identify and facilitate development of potential managers and leaders
• Support audits, tours and investigations
• Demonstrate professional behavior in-line with leadership competencies and company standards
• Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth
• Adhere to the Quality Management System and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements

• Foster and maintain a workplace culture respectful and supportive of individual differences 
• Ensure compliance to Internal policies, quality system policies and department procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, management or a related field; or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background required
• Computer proficiency, experience with Microsoft products (Work, Outlook, Excel)
• Experience in project management and managing multiple activities

• Sound administrative skills and well-developed management skills
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively with employees at multiple levels
• Knowledge of/or training in ISO, GMP and CFR standards
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills 

 

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with reasonable accommodations requirements under the ADA
• General office setting
• Exposure to moderate noise and light levels within manufacturing facility

• Proper attire/clothing and personal protective equipment/clothing as required within Controlled Manufacturing Areas
• Must pass a post-offer physical exam and drug test
