Overview

The Materials Management and Processing Associate at Cook Capital Equipment is responsible for accepting incoming products (returns, customer property, and new inventory) at CCE and processing them in accordance with the Quality Management System. The Associate will also be responsible for monitoring product status within CCE, preparing products for return (evaluation/loaner inventory, customer property and complaint products) and for keeping accurate records of all phases of the materials management process.

Responsibilities

• Perform work in compliance with Cook Quality Policy Manual
• Receive products, verify shipment and initiate product traveler or other related paperwork
• Accurately pull product and quantities for customer orders and prepare for shipment
• Perform cycle counts of inventory, maintain storage area, organize and place stock on shelves. Ensures area is secure at all times
• Process returned goods product from customers (product for service and complaints)
• Clean, disinfect, and/or sterilize incoming product per instructions
• Prepare stock and floor orders for shipment by checking for proper description of product, lot numbers, and recording specified amounts on the packslip
• Assemble boxes, pack goods to be shipped, and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions
• Work closely with logistics, customer support, quality engineering, service, and operations to communicate product status as it moves between departments
• Contact resource people for various information. Contact transport companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma required
• Minimum 18 years of age

 

Physical Requirements:

• Moderate exposure to noise level in the work environment that is moderate to occasionally loud
• Frequently lifts and/or moves and/or carries boxes up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work standing and be mobile for a full eight hour day
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions
• Good eyesight to recognize product/catalog descriptions
• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to grasp, carry, feel or touch; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch up to 8 hours daily
• Frequently required to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist in a repetitive motion throughout daily responsibilities
