Overview

The Risk Manager at Cook Group Incorporated oversees the global property & casualty insurance program and corporate risk management function. The team serves as a critical risk management resource that collaborates with the Cook companies & departments worldwide to achieve goals and mitigate risk.

Responsibilities

• Management of the insurance procurement process worldwide across several lines of insurance
• Oversee the loss control activities as well as claims management for the various Cook companies
• Manage external relationships with several key service providers including brokers, insurers, and third-party administrators (TPAs)
• Assistance in collaborating with various functions and Cook sites in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risk
• Thorough review and understanding of various policies to ensure both the adequacy and relevancy of coverages
• Knowledge of contract review process and terminology
• Decision Making and Organizational Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Project Management and financial modeling

• Developing meaningful partnerships with risk owners throughout the organization to support goals while mitigating risk
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed such as providing WebEx presentations
• Prepare reports for stakeholders as needed (claims statistics; premium history, risk finance techniques, models and analytics)
• Assist with contract review of insurance clauses for both vendor and customer agreements
• Awareness of property & casualty insurance products worldwide & renewal processes
• Claims management across numerous lines of insurance with a global scope
• Implementation of the risk management process
• Ability to develop risk owner relationships and give presentations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree preferred
• CPCU, ARM, CRM, or RIMS-CRMP designations preferred
• 3+ years of risk management experience preferred
