The Project Manager at Cook Medical will manage the project life cycle of projects within the Supply Chain Operational Unit. The role will work closely with the Cook Divisions, Functions and Manufacturing Entities to ensure project delivery is focused on achieving objectives and is in line with agreed business requirements and timelines. The Project Manager will take responsibility for assigned projects while embracing continuous improvement ideologies.


• Understand the business direction, and develop comprehensive project plans that ensure the deliverables are in line with the business direction
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are fully complete and compliant
• Manage the entire lifecycle of assigned projects and meet time-lines set out in the project plan
• Mitigate and identify risks/issues which may impact project time-lines, and take action when required
• Monitor, track and communicate project progress in a structured and timely manner to business owners and key stakeholders
• Self motivated to collaborate with internal stakeholders (Divisions, Functions, Manufacturing Entities) from project planning to implementation
• Manage and work with relevant outside vendors, as required
• Understand the packaging requirements in relevant markets and identify cost saving opportunities within packaging and shipping
• Clear understanding and knowledge of the Cook Supply Chain channels and systems
• Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System and Business Processes
• Ensure that Cook’s Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook’s behalf

• Communicate with executive leadership to provide stakeholder updates, as needed

• Manage projects using Continuous Improvement tools to embrace the CI culture


• Bachelor's Degree preferred or or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background

• Formal business, project management qualification and / or a proven track record in complex operational business

• Continuous improvement or Six Sigma experience preferred
• Experience with managing and directing project team members towards a defined objective
• Proven written and verbal skills with ability to synthesize information into well organized plans, proposals and presentations
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven understanding and experience of internal systems
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) principles (preferably ISO13485 and ISO11607)
• Ability to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and follow up on issues


Physical Requirements:

• Attends and leads various strategic and informational meetings
• Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand for extended periods
• The employee is occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel or crouch
