The Reporting Analyst at Cook Medical is a technical and business knowledge based position. This position has the ability to organize and present complex/raw data in a way that tells a compelling story, provides actionable insights, and drives business decisions.
• Setting scope and milestones, helping keep the project on task and within required time-frames
• Understand how data can be used and the relationships to other data ensuring reports are user friendly to end users whilst meeting current and future reporting needs
• Support application environment, ensuring that the user interface is intuitive and system security is enforced. Test and roll-out new updates to users
• Give presentations to user groups on content, philosophy, or reporting roll-out plans
• Communicate and report project progress related to schedule and work performance to the necessary stakeholders on a regular basis
• Collaborates with end users in the design of custom Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards, metrics, and reports and executes the development
• Design and create innovative visualizations and dashboards to meet business needs, exhibiting a natural curiosity to identify patterns, trends, and performance insights
• Translates business requirements into detailed technical design and programming specifications
• Work closely with developers to define data structure and integrity
• Work closely with the analytics core team to ensure the data warehouse and analytical tool-set work effectively across teams, sharing new ideas and techniques regularly
• Actively participate in and influence discussions around reporting requirements, infrastructure needs, and design
• Provide subject matter expertise for multiple projects concurrently through all phases of the development life-cycle
• Bring structure to ambiguous business problems and recommend visualization that can be easily interpreted by users
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or experience of such kind and amount to provide a comparable background
• 3 or more years in reporting and/or analysis role
• Strong knowledge of relational database applications
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills
• Working experience with end user Report design, development and implementation with a strong focus on SAP Business Objects
• Demonstrated ability to drive to deadlines, balancing multiple priorities, and ensuring quality standards
• Experience communicating technical details to technical and non-technical resources
