The PMO Manager at Cook MyoSite is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of strategy through effective project and portfolio management. The PMO Manager also sets the standard for project management across the company while promoting a culture of excellence.


• Responsible for providing overall project management leadership, supervision, and direction to a team of Project Managers

• Develop and lead the project and project portfolio management framework for Cook MyoSite resulting in the overall success of company initiatives

• Act as a reference point for PMO queries and information and an advocate for best practices in project management

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects

• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

• Manage the project portfolio including supporting project prioritization, selection, and reporting structure

• Assist with project governance efforts, including milestone(s) validation, scope and schedule compliance

• Supervise, track and report on timely completion of deliverables relating to the project portfolio

• Develop and monitor resource utilization tracking and trends in order to ensure operations is aligned with executing strategy

• Confirm the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation including project plan and budget

• Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget

• Support the management of changes to project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

• Provide status reports on the project portfolio and communicate critical information to Executive Leadership on an ongoing basis

• Offer ongoing project and program leadership in the face of adversity, change, and aggressive deadlines common to a rapidly growing company 

• Support project management training for project managers and project leads throughout the organization

• Identify and coordinate improvement activities related to project management activities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate organizational change management strategies and solutions

• Support the communication and awareness activities related to Cook MyoSite’s Strategic Plan 

• All other duties as assigned by the Senior Operational Excellence Manager

• Develops, monitors and manages the departmental budget
• Oversee team members and support personnel development to ensure essential job functions and duties are performed at high standards
• Conduct performance reviews for team members
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must maintain company quality and safety standards

• Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or any related field or undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, or any related field plus 2 years of direct, relevant project management leadership experience

• Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in project management with previous experience managing direct reports preferred

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, specifically, advanced knowledge of Adobe, OneNote, Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Expert in Outlook and Project

• Basic understanding of cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and related regulations associated with Bio/Pharmaceutical product manufacturing

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) preferred

• Experience with process improvement and organizational change management desired

• Demonstrated experience overseeing a large portfolio with many concurrent projects

• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with others

• Advanced time management and analytical skills

• Previous Power BI experience

• Previous SharePoint experience

• Previous experience with Lean/Six Sigma


Physical Requirements:

• Office setting

• Ability to conduct and hear ordinary conversation and telephone communication.

• Must be able to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended work hours and/or extra work hours, sometimes on short notice as required.

• Ability to work under specific time constraints.

• Must be able to sit at desk, in meetings and/or work on a computer for long or extended periods of time.

• Visual and manual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
