The Market Access Specialist at Cook MyoSite is responsible for assisting in the development of market access strategies across Cook MyoSite’s therapeutic disease areas and individual products. Help ensure that payer and other stakeholder insights inform our development and commercialization strategies and plans for our cell therapies.


• Obtains and maintains deep commercial and government payer insights to represent the payer perspective internally

• Helps to ensure existing opportunities and barriers as well as emerging trends are incorporated into development and commercialization strategies

• Researches, develops and delivers reimbursement, pricing and market access strategies and programming to support Cook MyoSite products—building awareness and understanding, ensuring compliant and clear communications, planning associated activities and garnering cross-functional support

• Supports building the value proposition for payers and other key stakeholders and assists with evidence generation that will ultimately be used to support value dossier submissions

• Directs and manages Pricing, Reimbursement and/or Market Access vendors to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget

• Responsible for developing and maintaining Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) Format V4.1 and Value Format Unapproved Product, Approved Product, and Unapproved Use Evidence Dossiers and supporting slide decks

• Responsible for scheduling and preparing payer engagements, discussions and meetings for Cook MyoSite participants

• Responsible for developing reimbursement educational and support materials for providers and patients

• Assist in the planning and development of the reimbursement and patient services support function

• Forms strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional colleagues to prioritize and deliver on payer priorities


• Undergraduate degree in Health Economics, Pharmacy Administration, Biostatistics, or Health Services Research or 6 years direct, relevant experience in biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical or medical device industry to provide a comparable background
• 5+ years biopharmaceutical market access experience; contracting and pricing experience preferred

• Minimum of 3-6 years' experience in biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical or device pricing, reimbursement and/or market access
• PhD, DrPH, MD, PharmD preferred
• Understanding of biopharmaceutical product development and launch processes
• Knowledge of or interest in pricing, market access, reimbursement and HEOR

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, specifically, advanced knowledge of Project, Outlook, Adobe, OneNote, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Basic understanding of cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and related regulations associated with Bio/Pharmaceutical product manufacturing

• Proficiency or comfort level working with material of a highly technical or scientific nature

• Must have excellent organizational skills
• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with others
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills
• Must have excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:

• Travel / Remote / Field Based: General office or home office setting with 10-20% domestic travel.

• Subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA, must be (a) physically capable of operating a motor vehicle on a regular basis, (b) a holder of a valid driver's license, and (c) in good standing to legally operate a motor vehicle

• Ability to conduct and hear ordinary conversation and telephone communication.

• Must be able to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended work hours and/or extra work hours, sometimes on short notice as required.

• Ability to work under specific time constraints.

• Must be able to sit at desk, in meetings and/or work on a computer for long or extended periods of time.

• Visual and manual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
