  • Overview

    The Global Finance Project Analyst is an integral member of the Cook Finance team. The Analyst works across finance functions to help establish and implement mechanisms to monitor and evaluate financial and non financial processes for continuous improvement.


    •Identify, recommend, and lead global process implementation and improvement projects
    •Lead projects to develop and improve recording, tracking and reporting of key performance indicators
    •Work with senior leadership to analyze data and make business decisions
    •Responsible for supporting senior leadership in the interpretation of financial data and tracking against financial objectives
    •Service the global finance functions with regular and ad-hoc analysis of information to provide insight into relevant business drivers
    •Work with cross functional teams globally to preemptively understand their needs and provide related solutions, analysis, and/or support
    •Review processes and results to ensure transactions have been recorded consistently and accurately
    •Expresses impact of business problems in financial terms

    •Propose multiple options to solve business challenges and identification of most effective solution supported by analysis
    •Break down complex problems into simple and manageable tasks
    •Asks questions that lead to identification of root causes of problems
    •Stay current on industry-wide best practices and trends
    •Effectively communicate financial information with global leaders
    •Exercise strong problem-solving skills during day-to-day activities
    •Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
    •Maintain regular and punctual attendance
    •Must have effective oral, written and presentation communication skills
    •Ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision


    •Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience, CPA or MBA preferred
    •Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
    •3 years of analysis experience preferred
    •Experience with Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement

    •Experience with general ledger and reporting software packages, e.g. business intelligence software
    •Experience effectively leading and managing multiple projects
    •Experience with process documentation, simplifying complex business problems, and presenting processes to achieve alignment
    •Experience conducting internal trainings


    Physical Requirements:

    • Some travel, both domestic and international
    • General office environment
    • Sitting for extended periods
    • Requires close visual acuity when working with computers, etc.
