  • Overview

    The Business and Reporting Analyst serves as the front-line resource in managing reporting requests and requirements for the Cook reporting team.  The Business and Reporting Analyst interacts regularly with internal business customers to capture and understand reporting and data service requests.


    • Project manager: setting scope and milestones, helping keep the project on task and within required timeframes. These projects can be global in nature and require coordination among the different Cook companies.
    • Assist in bringing new data points into the reporting environment; ensuring new data fits into existing data structures following reporting group initiatives.
    • Understand how data can be used and the relationships to other data ensuring reports are user friendly to end users whilst meeting current and future reporting needs
    • Work closely with technical team ensuring the end users’ needs are met and ensuring a simple user interface for them. They are also translator between internal customers and IT.
    • Support application environment, ensuring that the user interface is intuitive and system security is enforced. Test and rollout new updates to users.
    • Maintain and develop knowledge of reporting tools, to advise users on the appropriate reporting tools and solution to be used.
    • Discuss, analyse, identify and understand key performance indicators to facilitate reporting
    • Create, develop and maintain corporate reports
    • Independently gather, analyse, and identify opportunities for enhancements; work closely with internal technical team to provide effective resolution to business issues
    • Investigate technical reporting issues.
    • Assist in prioritisation of reporting requests
    • Translate business needs to requirements through information gathering sessions and collaboration with stakeholders
    • Perform quality review of new and existing reporting solutions.  Coordinate end user review and acceptance of the developed solutions
    • Give presentations to user groups on content, philosophy, or reporting rollout plans
    • Communicate and report project progress related to schedule and work performance to the necessary stakeholders on a regular basis


    • Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems
      or other related field, or experience of such kind and amount to provide a
      comparable background
    • 3 or more years in reporting and/or analysis role
    • Strong  knowledge of relational database applications
    • Working experience with end user Report design, development and
      implementation with a strong focus on SAP Business Objects


    • Demonstrated ability to drive to deadlines, balancing multiple priorities,
      and ensuring quality standards
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills
    • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Word)
    • Experience communicating technical details to technical and
      non-technical resources
