  • Overview

    Cook MyoSite Incorporated, a division of Cook Incorporated, is a growing, forward-thinking biotechnology organization seeking a full time Human Resources Generalist.  The Human Resources Generalist at Cook Myosite provides a wide variety of Human Resource support and/or personnel related topics to staff.


    • Provides Human Resource support to staff such Leave Administration assistance, worker’s compensation, employment verifications, reference checks, unemployment inquires and other personnel related topics
    • Assists in the development and implementation of HR business processes, personnel policies and procedures
    • Assists in maintaining paper records and HRIS systems to ensure correct employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data
    • Provides training and support to leadership on performance management tasks such as job descriptions, disciplinary action records, Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Individual Development Plans (IDP)
    • Provides training and support in professional development
    • Acts as a Personnel Advisor to staff

    • Supports HR projects as assigned
    • Acts as a liaison to the Employee Advocacy group (formally Wellness, Diversity and Inclusion)
    • Acts as departmental Safety representative  
    • Responsible for planning and executing company events such as the Annual Awards Banquet, and internal events
    • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
    • Participates as needed in special department projects
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
    • Must maintain company quality and safety standards

    • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Management or Social Science degree or 4 years of direct, relevant HR experience
    • Minimum of 2-years HR or administrative support experience
    • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professional discretion
    • Must execute a high level of attention to detail
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software, and other general office equipment
    • Ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision

    • Experience with HRIS management
    • Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability follow complex processes, procedures and systems
    • Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to execute goals set by the organization and Department Manager
    • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications, and the ability to provide technical training to end users
    • Must maintain a high level of professionalism and business acumen
    • Willingness and capability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities
    • Must have effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills
    • Maintain composure and competence under stressful situations; flexibility and adaptability


    Physical Requirements:

    • General office, warehouse and laboratory setting
    • Ability to conduct and hear ordinary conversation and telephone communication

    • Must be able to sit at desk, in meetings and/or work on a computer for long or extended periods of time
    • Visual and manual acuity for working with computers and equipment
