  • Overview

    The Market and Competitive Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of market and competitor trends, news, data, and information to support New Ventures and division needs. This position assists in the development and support of an intelligence program that includes projects, technology, and processes to ensure business objectives are met and work is completed in an effective and efficient manner.


    • Work closely with the Director and Managers within the Business Insights function to align priorities to the needs of the organization.

    • Bring awareness and knowledge of the competitor activities and market trends impacting Cook's core product categories and customer segments.

    • Identifies, monitors, curates, and summarizes, data and information from various reliable sources to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness.

    • Support the company's commercial strategy, planning, and decision- making efforts by showing trends and potential disruptions in the market. 

    • Monitors and produces quarterly reports of news, deals, information, and analysis of key competitors across Cook.

    • Supports M&A due diligence and valuation processes.

    • Sets project and task deadlines, monitors progress and prepares project status reports for management.

    • Presents, distributes, organizes, and archives data and information in a way that allows users to quickly and easily find relevant content.

    • Must be proficient in market research and data analysis. 

    • Must have a deep understanding of the healthcare and medical device industry across various product/procedure categories.

    • Must have strong interpersonal skills and work effectively with leadership and in a team environment.

    • Adhere to the Quality Management System and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements.



    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Research, Data Analytics, or related field. 

    • Master's degree strongly preferred. 

    • 3+ years experience in the healthcare/medical device industry required.

    • 5+ years experience in market/competitive intelligence preferred.

    • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization.

    • Proficiency in Sharepoint.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
