  • Overview

    Cook MyoSite Incorporated, a division of Cook Incorporated, is a growing, forward-thinking biotechnology organization seeking a full time Human Resources Assistant.  The HR Assistant will provide daily administrative support to staff and the Human Resource department.


    • Provides daily administrative support to staff and the Human Resource department such as: review and reconcile monthly invoices and reports, process and manage document filing system, prepare orientation materials, organize and coordinate benefits open enrollment

    • Assists with the scheduling and coordination of phone screens and on-site interviews

    • Assists with maintaining paper records and HRIS systems to ensure correct employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data

    • Assist with preparation and onboarding with new hire orientation

    • Provides real-time support to employees and time-card approvers in maintaining time and attendance records

    • Supports HR projects as assigned
    • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
    • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications, and the ability to provide technical training to end users
    • Attends meetings to record and transcribes notes and then distributes to appropriate persons
    • Processes and manages document filing system; provide guidance in handling document storage equipment and supplies
    • Participates as needed in special department projects
    • Maintains regular and punctual attendance

    • High school diploma or equivalent  
    • Minimum of 2-years direct administrative support experience
    • Maintain high level of confidentiality
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software, and other general office equipment
    • Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability follow complex processes, procedures and systems

    • Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to execute goals set by the organization and Department Manager
    • Experience with HRIS management
    • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
    • Must maintain a high level of professionalism, business acumen
    • Must have effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills
    • Maintain composure and competence under stressful situations; flexibility and adaptability 
    • Ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision


    Physical Requirements:

    • General office, warehouse and laboratory setting
    • Ability to conduct and hear ordinary conversation and telephone communication

    • Must be able to sit at desk, in meetings and/or work on a computer for long or extended periods of time
    • Visual and manual acuity for working with computers and equipment
