    The Laboratory Manufacturing Technician will be responsible to establish, maintain and assist with performance of manufacturing products which meet company standards, operating procedures, and Quality System standards and requirements.



    • Executes own daily workload schedule and relevant resources requirements
    • Performs routine daily culture monitoring of products; both manually, and using an automated system
    • Performance of established cell count and viability assays using a flow cytometer
    • Thoroughly executes and maintains production processing area changeover procedures, including; product lot initiation and set-up, routine sanitizations of processing areas, product lot clearance and completion
    • Performs the quarantine and storage of manufactured products
    • Submission of product generated samples for testing
    • Troubleshoots problems, bringing unusual problems (i.e. potential deviations) to the attention of the supervisor
    • Thoroughly executes routine sanitizations of the manufacturing suite according to set procedures, with occasional use of a half faced respirator
    • Thoroughly executes routine sanitization and maintenance of the manufacturing equipment in accordance with set procedures
    • Assists in maintaining the availability of adequate resources (equip, inventory/materials, documentation, etc.) for the completion of daily production tasks
    • Assists in the collection and proper disposal of biohazard waste
    • Assists in the implementation of procedures to optimize the manufacturing processes
    • Ability to obtain and maintain required qualifications, including but not limited to; gowning qualification
    • Completes and reviews Production Batch Records, and Production associated documentation in a timely fashion

    Other areas of responsibility include:

    • Participates in the transfer process of new products to production; may assist in providing training to new personnel in both general and specific technical processes
    • Maintenance, preparation and operation of equipment/components for work tasks.
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
    • Must maintain company quality and safety standards



    • Bachelor's degree in any Life Science or engineering field or at least 3 years experience working in a laboratory environment

    • Must be able to work aseptically


    Physical Requirements:

    • General office, warehouse and laboratory setting with potential (limited) exposure to hazardous chemicals and/or harsh disinfectants while in BioSafety Level II

    • Must be able to sit at desk, in meetings and/or work on a computer for long or extended periods of time

    • Ability to spend majority of day standing in warehouse setting or sitting in biological safety hood setting
    • Ability to conduct and hear ordinary conversation and telephone communication

    • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis with or without reasonable accommodations

    • Visual and manual acuity for working with computers and equipment
    • Must be capable of performing PPE gowning procedures on a frequent basis to enter BioSafety Level II, including safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, specialized clothing including laboratory scrubs (pants and shirt) and appropriate shoes required on a regular basis

    • Must be able to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended work hours and/or extra work hours, sometimes on short notice as required
