  • Overview

    Cook MyoSite Incorporated, a division of Cook Incorporated, is a growing, forward-thinking biotechnology organization seeking a full time Copywriter.  The Copywriter will support cross functional teams to develop relevant and compelling content to support business objectives and sales goals while enhancing brand development initiatives.  

     

    Responsibilities

    • Work with Marketing team to identify needs and compose original content
    • Review and edit copy developed by others to ensure it meets the desired content requirements, reflects the correct voice, and meets the specified requirements
    • Develop copy that conforms to layout and other design parameters while maintaining the consistent voice and style of each respective brand
    • Conduct research as necessary to support content
    • Understand goals and specifications and translate them into effective content
    • Develop copy for internal corporate communication needs, including weekly digital newsletters
    • Balance creative and technical writing to develop comprehensive and compelling web copy, video scripts, marketing collateral, press releases, and digital advertising for products and campaign messaging
    • Seamlessly shift between subject matter and related tones
    • Effectively proofread and edit content of various subject matter
    • Write content appropriate for social media channels for various objectives
    • Assist colleagues in Marketing department with coordination and project management as needed
    • Ability to learn and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of related technical and scientific terminology usage
    • Write press releases as needed using appropriate style and format
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive content calendar that spans all segments
    • Generate compelling subject lines, calls-to-action, and consumer- and clinical-professional-oriented healthcare copy
    • Enlist the help of cross-functional teams to aggregate details and information when writing technical copy for collateral
    • Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring that deliverables are achieved on time while maintaining the highest standards of quality and creativity

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Advertising, or similar and 3 to 5+ years related marketing writing experience with a focus on both creative and technical writing
    • Proficiency in MS Office and other general office equipment
    • Proficiency or comfort level working with material of a highly technical or scientific nature
    • Must provide portfolio demonstrating exceptional writing skills (i.e., excellent grammar, attention to detail, and story construction skills)
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, and ability to respond well to critical feedback
    • Proven ability to multitask effectively under pressure and nimbly balance speed with quality
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability follow complex processes, procedures and systems
    • Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to execute goals set by the organization and Department Manager
