  • Overview

    The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant is the liaison between the outside business world and the company.  The primary function of this position is to represent K-Tube in the absolute best light with professionalism and customer focused presentation. This position supports K-Tube and its customer service department through appropriately directing and screening incoming calls, answering basic company questions, greeting K-Tube guests, properly administering K-Tube’s policies and procedures, corresponding with K-Tube customers to supply invoices and packing slips per customer requests, performing basic customer requests for quoting, initiating the ordering of office supplies, ordering meals for meetings, mailing of various documents, filing sales orders and invoices, and performing other duties as assigned.  The incumbent will perform a variety of clerical duties, such as word processing, creating spreadsheets, reports, and filing. May assist with overflow work from other departments.



    • Professionally greets and receives K-Tube’s visitors  
    • Responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable front office
    • Responsible for telephone calls, including voicemail, paging, screening, etc.
    • Ensures telephone and front desk coverage during business hours
    • Administers visitor book, confidentiality forms, visitor appointments, safety glasses, and postage machine
    • Incoming mail duties include receipt dating and distributing to appropriate personnel
    • Outgoing mail duties include collection of postage for personal mailings and proper dating of outgoing mail
    • Inventory and initiate ordering of office supplies
    • Interface with the customer through basic request for quotes
    • Email customers information as requested
    • Ensure confidentiality procedures are followed
    • Various mailings and filings as requested, directed, or assigned
    • Clerical duties include word processing, creating spreadsheets, reports, and filing
    • May assist with overflow work from other departments


    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Two years of reception and/or customer service experience
    • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Detailed and results oriented
    • Professional presentation and demeanor
    • Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel

    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift 10 pounds
    • Minimal physical effort required
    • Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the work area



    Work Environment:

    • Work performed in an office environment, but may require visits to the manufacturing floor
    • Minimal exposure to metals, lubricants, solvents, electrolytes
    • Professional environment requiring business casual attire
