  • Overview

    The Business Manager for Cook Capital Equipment will manage business activities across all Entity Programs in the assigned geography’s direct and distribution markets aligning area objectives with Entity mission, vision and purpose, Entity program priorities and overall company priorities.  Responsible for ensuring the business within the geography is efficient, effective, and compliant in meeting the needs of our partners (internal and external) and customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Interact regularly with Entity management to implement and ensure consistency in priorities, policies, processes, structure and programs within the geographic territory
    • Communicate with external parties to ensure adherence to Entity policies, while accommodating local laws and regional customs and implementation needs
    • Ensure compliance of, and adherence to, internal procedures such as training and complaint reporting
    • Maintain and evaluate infrastructure necessary to monitor internal and external compliance to procedures (e.g., sharepoint)
    • Continuously evaluate and improve the strategy for the assigned geography by monitoring metrics and listening to feedback from partners and customers
    • Management responsibility for service technicians
    • Management responsibility for clerical and administrative staff

    • Resolve issues and gaps quickly, effectively, and compliantly
    • Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
    • Support audits, investigations and tours within the department

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Management or a related field; or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background required
    • Experience/understanding of sales, marketing, and/or business management in the medical device industry
    • Prior experience working across a large and diverse geographic area

    • Computer proficiency, experience with Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, Excel)

    • Bilingual is a plus, but not required

    • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Cook does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position 

     

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to travel globally (10-20%)

    • General office setting
    • Requires close visual acuity when working with computers, etc.
    • Maintain a physical presence in the areas of responsibility
