  • Overview

    The Calibration Administrator/Lab Technician at Cook Research Incorporated is responsible for administering the calibration system at CRI and assisting an interdisciplinary team of engineers and scientists with bench testing of medical devices.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment

    • Maintain the database that tracks calibration and maintenance of equipment

    • Ensure that environmental conditions are monitored and maintained for laboratory work

    • Ensure that out of tolerance occurrences are addressed

    • Perform routine bench testing in order to produce reliable and precise data

    • Ensure calibration and maintenance are scheduled and performed

    • Maintain the storage area for calibrated and reference only equipment

    • Operate under Good Laboratory Practice and ISO 17025 guidelines and follow strict methodologies

    • Maintain integrity during testing, data collection, and reporting

    • Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced

    Qualifications

    • Associates degree in a science or technical related field, or equivalent experience

    • 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting is highly desirable

    • Extreme attention to detail

    • Demonstrated ability to learn to operate specialized laboratory equipment

    • Conscientious person with good work ethic

    • Proven ability to communicate and work constructively with colleagues

    • Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities along with fluctuations in work load

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with team
