Overview

The Assembler position at Cook Inc. bags, boxes, and labels product with appropriate labels and inserts. The Assembler assembles medical devices according to written specifications and manufacturing instructions.

Responsibilities

Job duties may include;

• Check for correct product labels, inserts, and amounts
• Bag, box, and label product according to manufacturing instructions
• Hand assemble boxes
• Identify components with catalog description
• Read, comprehend, and follow product and packaging specifications and manufacturing instructions
• Complete quality work at accepted department/production determined rates
• Perform work in compliance with Cook Quality Policy Manual
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards

• Work with written specifications and manufacturing instructions to assemble a variety of medical devices
• Work closely with other employees as a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age

• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Cook does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

• Effective August 1, 2018, the WorkKeys test is no longer required for this position

 

Physical Requirements:

• Effective April 16, 2018, must meet the Visual Acuity Screening Requirements of 20/40 vision using both eyes with or without correction

• Good eyesight, hand dexterity, and attention to detail

• Depending on the department, able to lift and/or move anywhere between 50 and 60 pounds from a maximum height of 68 inches and carry on a regular basis

• Depending on the department, able to sit or stand for extended periods during the shift

• Depending on the department, able to stay in constant motion for the entire shift including walking, twisting, lifting, bending, etc.
• Proper attire/clothing and personal protective equipment/clothing as required within Controlled Manufacturing Areas

• Handle tools, e.g. razor blades, hole punch, and table top grinder
• Frequent repetitive motion

• Moderate exposure to noise level in the work environment that is moderate to occasionally loud
