Overview

The Logistics Specialist at Cook Regentec Inc. will perform Receiving, Inventory Management and Shipping to ensure all incoming and outgoing materials are handled appropriately and with GMP standards when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Execute Receiving, Inventory Management, and Shipping processes
• Maintain all final product inventories
• Receive, store and maintain raw materials.  Develop, implement, and manage an inventory management system and associated Standard Operating Procedures
• Develop, implement, and aid in the management of a global distribution system and associated Standard Operating Procedures
• Develop and manage relationships with shipping vendors
• Facilitate the timely shipment and delivery of international packages, including preparation of necessary customs documentation and maintaining compliance with all relevant import and export regulations
• Maintain a working knowledge of international shipping regulations pertaining to biologics and medical devices
• Service internal and external customers
• Able to organize and complete complex tasks
• Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team and committed to high quality work

• Ensure customer orders are shipped and delivered in a timely manner
• Facilitate customs clearance of inbound and outbound international shipments
• Communicates with other Cook departments, shipping vendors, international customs officials, and customers as necessary to facilitate shipments
• Follow the internal change request process to write, revise and archive Standard Operating Procedures as applicable
• Performs procedures as required under the QMS
• Ensure an orderly, sanitary, and safe working environment is maintained
• Use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Use of Sage X3 ERP system
• Optimize work processes and approach tasks with a mind-set of continual improvement
 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 1 year of experience working in logistics and/or supply chain
• At least 1 year of Global Logistics experience.
• At least 1 year of experience working with ERP software
• Cold chain shipping experience preferred, but not required
• Experience working in GMP environment preferred, but not required

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
• Excellent and effective English written and oral communication skills

 

Physical Requirements:

• General office and warehouse environment
• May require heavy lifting and use of large equipment
• This position requires training in blood borne pathogen safety measures.  New hires will be given the option of Hepatitis B vaccination

• Requires training on blood borne pathogens, liquid nitrogen, and dry ice
