Cook Research Incorporated is currently seeking a Food Servce Worker to join our world-class food service team that has demonstrated cooking and customer service skills, is enthusiastic, and is committed to providing excellence in a high-energy and fun environment. This temporary position is 30-40 hours weekly, Monday-Friday daytime hours and no holiday work!


• Clean and inspect kitchen appliances, equipment, and work areas in order to ensure cleanliness and functional operation

• Prepare food in a safe and efficient manner, following all applicable food service regulations and requirements

• Set up and tear down food service bars

• Clean and prepare produce

• Serve food to facility employees or visitors

• Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment

• Maintain immaculate uniform and personal appearance

• Compile and maintain records of food use

• Order supplies and stock utensils, condiments, and kitchen supplies on shelves

• Periodic cleaning of the kitchen and cafeteria areas, including disposal of trash, cleaning tables and other surfaces


• High School diploma or GED required

• Previous food service experience preferred

• SERV Safe certification and knowledgeable of Tippecanoe Board of Health and the Indiana State Board of Health sanitation laws preferred

• Basic computer skills

• Punctual and timely

• Conscientious person with a good work ethic and personal discipline

• Ability and desire to work in a collegial team atmosphere; including communicating and working constructively with colleagues

• Teachable, positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn


Physical Requirements:

• Ability to frequently lift 10-25 pounds and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion

• Able to bend, twist, squat, kneel, stoop, reach above the shoulder height, and tolerate repetitive motion

• Ability to stand/walk for 4-8 hours plus each day

• Able to withstand a hot, noisy and compact environment

• Able to operate designated food service equipment
