Overview

The Marketing/Marketing Communications Intern at Cook Winston-Salem will be part of the Summer Internship Program. Paid internships at Cook Medical are offered for a period extending from mid-May through mid-August (Exact dates depend on school calendars.) All internships provide hands-on experience with meaningful projects in the Medical Device Manufacturing Industry.

Responsibilities

- Work closely with Marketing and Product Management teams to coordinate daily priorities, seeking guidance from Marketing Communications Manager as needed
- Implement projects that enhance SBU and corporate direction within appropriate marketing strategies and financial constraints
- Regularly monitor and communicate project status via Marketing Project Tracker
- Assist with routing, tracking and archival of internal documentation
- Establish project timelines and resources available
- Provide proofing and documentation reviews as needed
- Unify copy, design and messaging to engage a multi-language audience
- Understand marketing materials available to support sales, meetings and events and maintain listing/inventory and provide updates
- Responsible for internal quality processes such as controlled materials, change requests, SOP’s and applicable departmental training

 

 

Qualifications

• All candidates should have an interest in a career in Marketing or Business

• Candidates should be students entering their Junior or Senior year the following fall semester or entering graduate school. Graduate students are also eligible 
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred
• All candidates must provide proof of enrollment (including pre-registration certification for the following Fall) for consideration
• Candidates should be majoring in Marketing or Business related field

• Strong interest in learning about market research and medical device marketing.

• Experience with content creation a plus, even if not professionally

• Must be able to work on a PC using MS Office programs, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
