Overview

The Quality Engineer Supervisor at K-Tube Technologies independently performs any and all types of quality engineering assignments (CAPA review, Complaints, Internal Audit, GR&R, F/A, Contract Review, Supplier Control, N/C Containment) with detailed plans and timelines, investigates QC processes to resolve quality problems, works from generally stated objectives, guides the direction of personnel and projects, provides guidance and assistance to other employees and departments and performs all Inspector training.  Has considerable latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions.  

 

 

 

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees involved in inspection activities and determines QC priorities

• Coordinates personnel in order to maximize objectives, maintain quality inspections, and ensure requirements are met

• Maintains a variety of reports and records inspection documentation to reflect performance, methods and procedures

• Completes comprehensive responses for customer complaints, during audits, customer tours, product knowledge
• Authority to stop production or to limit further processing of nonconforming product until the deficiency has been corrected
• Participates in monthly reviews and reports on assigned key processes
• Identifies opportunities for business process improvements

• Administer Quality Systems at K-Tube including nonconformance systems, corrective action systems, document control systems and supplier audits; including the initiation of actions to meet objectives
• Internal Audit Team member as assigned
• Manages Metrology and Calibration system, including actual calibration of measuring and test equipment

• Interacts and communicates with associated operating departments as necessary to produce cohesive efforts towards accomplishing Company goals.  Reinforces an environment of teamwork and collaboration
• Demonstrated ability to be an effective team member within a cross-functional team, at times leads aspects of organizational change
• Approachable, inquisitive, and relates well to a diverse set of people
• Collaborates and serves as key liaison with engineer and production

• In line with the corporate plan, recruit, hire, train and develop qualified direct reports, and set performance expectations and evaluate performance
• Ensures inspection and tests are performed in accordance with quality plans and controls inspection records. Determines  whether processes and completed products meet specified standards and specifications
• Responsible for Inspector training and certification.  Ensures compliance to work instructions and recommends revisions as appropriate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years experience in Quality systems
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Power Point

 

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Light to moderate physical effort required
• Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility
