Overview

The IT Manager at Cook Regentec is responsible for daily supervision and coordination of IT staff, systems, networks and solutions while providing leadership, mentoring, coaching and direction. The IT Manager is the central point of contact and primary interface for all IT related issues and will collaborate with all levels of the organization, research solutions, propose strategies backed by policies and procedures, remove/resolve roadblocks, and ultimately drive results.

Responsibilities

• Accomplish information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
• Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities
• Maintain organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies
• Extensive computer system validation with knowledge of industry SDLC, as well as expectations and requirements, specifically CFR 21 Part 11 and EU Annex 11 (e.g. FDA guidelines, GAMP 5, ISO, etc.)

• Direct technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects to bridge business needs of the organization and provide solutions
• Provide support after normal business hours and responds to emergency work requests to ensure timely resolution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Informatics, or related technical discipline; or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in information technology, eCommunications, or related area

• Demonstrated proficiency with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of IT

 

Physical Requirements:

• General office environment
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time
• 10%-15% travel and ability to stay overnight
