Overview

The Maintenance Technician II at Cook Vandergrift is responsible for performing all routine and non-routine repair and maintenance of the facility and equipment.

Responsibilities

SHIFT 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM Monday - Thursday

• Maintain operating conditions of buildings and equipment
• Perform complex electrical repairs and installations
• Perform complex plumbing repairs and installations
• Perform complex mechanical repairs and installations
• Serve in limited capacity as a liaison between management and outside suppliers
• Serve in limited capacity as project lead
• Document equipment repairs and preventative maintenance in compliance with company quality requirements
• Serve as a 'first responder' for emergencies related to the building and internal equipment
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules as directed by the manager

• Perform repairs on electro-mechanical production equipment
• Maintain company water supply system including high purity and deionized water system
• Provide input to supervisor/manager to improve department operation and efficiency
• Identify and report possible preventative and corrective actions
• Works independently and as a team member, referring questions and problems to the department manager
• Confidential access to new and existing product designs and plans
• Responsible for compliance to company's Quality Policy Manual
• Responsible for compliance to company's safety policies
• Accountable for responding to after hour emergency calls

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical discipline or Associate degree in related field
• Must pass a post-offer physical exam and drug test
• Ability to read, write and understand documentation, equipment manuals and drawings
• Able to understand installation/equipment process set-up sheets, wiring diagrams and equipment instruction manuals

• Self-starter with good interpersonal skills

• Good judgement, organizational skills

• Detail oriented

• Excellent problem solving skills related to electro-mechanical production equipment, jigs, fixtures and automated machinery
• Basic computer entry/retrieval skills
• Good written and verbal communications

• Ability to get along with others

 

Physical Requirements:

• Good visual acuity
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to routinely lift up to 65 pounds
• Seasonal demands require exposure to cold for snow removal and heat for mowing and lawn care (Occasional)

• Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals used in manufacturing of products
• Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.  (ie. safety shoes, hard hat, work gloves, harnesses, face shields, hearing protection, dust masks)
