  • Overview

    The primary function of the Senior Maintenance Specialist is responsible for CMA environmental monitoring systems, alarm investigations and documentation. This position is involved with complex systems and software, identifies areas of improvement, may manage projects from design requirements to implementation, including defining scope and objectives. This position defines and creates technical specifications for a wide variety of projects


    • Ensure equipment being moved into CMA is properly setup in Maintenance and Calibration systems.
    • Monitor CMA environmental monitoring system; alarm investigation and documentation.
    • Read and comprehend blueprints, specifications and sketches and develop/modify CAD drawing for facility or systems.
    • Write and modify facility/system documents and procedures.
    • Interface with various business functions including Facilities, Production Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Administration teams.
    • Participate in planning, documenting, commissioning, and start-up of new and modified facilities and system installs/upgrades.
    • Translate project plans into coherent, credible, realistic project schedules.
    • Possess the ability to manage multiple complex projects with a high level of detail and accuracy.
    • Understand complex systems and be able to identify potential areas of improvement.
    • PLC interface and configuration/trouble shooting of such equipment.
    • Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth.
    • Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.
    • Must strictly adhere to safety requirements.
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
    • Must maintain company quality and quantity standards.
    • Must have effective communication skills, which may include oral or written
    • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations.


    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or experience such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background.
    • Preferred 10 years of maintenance experience.
    • Advanced understanding of equipment, facilities, and systems maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as mentoring/training and internal/external coordination of maintenance.
    • Ability to use data/metrics and make change to internal/external related processes for continual improvement. Process ownership.
    • Advanced understanding of cGMP, CFR 820 and ISO regulations and working with engineering to develop procedures and process for advanced equipment and future state growth.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.


    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to travel approximately 10% as necessary to other facilities.
    • Must be able to perform reasonable job functions requiring periods of sitting, standing, walking, hearing, and utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.
    • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA
