Overview

The Production Manager/Coordinator at Cook Spencer works with the Department Managers in managing the everyday functions within one or multiple manufacturing departments.  The Production Manager may take charge of an operating shift and perform responsibilities of the Department Manager as needed. This position may appraise personnel behaviors, productivity, quality, growth and ability to meet company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain first-hand understanding of the state of the department(s)
• Ensure compliance of, and adherence to, internal procedures and processes
• Ensure adequate resources are available to meet delivery standards for both internal and external products
• Schedule and coordinate flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production
• Identify, analyze and make recommendations regarding personnel, equipment, space, processes and materials
• Adhere to and assist personnel in comprehension, training and adherence to internal and external policies, procedures and guidelines
• Monitor competencies for continual improvement to meet Cook Quality and business objectives

• Ensure work order status is updated in a timely manner
• Support audits, investigations and tours within the department
• Provide direction/guidance to ensure that expectations and goals are clear and understood
• Interact regularly with the Department Manager to support global business direction and address areas in need of improvement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Knowledge of/or training in ISO, GMP and CFR standards
• Computer proficiency, experience with Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, Excel)

 

Physical Requirements:

• General office setting
• Exposure to moderate noise and light levels within manufacturing facility
• Requires close visual acuity when working with computers, etc.
• Maintain a physical presence in the area of responsibility

• Proper attire/clothing and personal protective equipment/clothing as required within Controlled Production Areas
