Senior Construction Maintenance Technician

The Senior Construction Maintenance Technician performs advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, site infrastructure, and building systems repairs. This role supports equipment reliability, safe construction operations, and provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel.

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of construction equipment, site utilities, temporary facilities, and building systems.
• Identify root causes of equipment and system failures and implement corrective actions.
• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair building systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and project requirements.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, equipment manuals, and blueprints.
• Support equipment mobilization, site infrastructure improvements, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities with subcontractors, vendors, equipment suppliers, and project teams.
• Maintain accurate records related to as-built conditions following a project completion.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Identify and correct jobsite hazards and participate in routine site safety inspections.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to maintenance personnel and field staff.
• Develop, implement, and update preventive maintenance schedules for construction equipment and site assets.

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification or associate’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of general construction experience.

• Demonstrated expertise in general construction activities (ex. light duty concrete, metal framing and drywall, commercial door and hardware installation).
• Demonstrated high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Experience working independently and with limited supervision.
• Must be proficient in English oral and written communication.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally lifting with maximum exertion during shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, and work in various physical positions for extended periods.
• May require working at heights, in confined spaces, or around rotating equipment.
• Must be able to use appropriate PPE including safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, and appropriate shoes as required by the task and environment.
• May require occasional overtime, weekend work, or on-call support depending on operational needs.
• Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
• Exposure to various climates, dust, noise, potential hazards (mechanical, chemical, electrical burn).
• Ability to travel to other locations as needed.
