The Manufacturing Engineer 2, Supplier plans, directs, and leads activities that support supplier controls and manufacturing processes for medical device products.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to create and execute change plans for supplier related changes in compliance with the Cook Quality Management System and global regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate, document and resolve Incoming Quality Control non-conformances and specification discrepancies with suppliers.
- Lead multiple projects concurrently with effective communication and timely completion to avoid or minimize impact to manufacturing.
- Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth.
- Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.
- Must strictly adhere to safety requirements.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial, Material Science Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years engineering experience in a regulated industry, preferably in a medical manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Project/Outlook, JBase, Livelink, Engineering Server, Business Objects.
- Ability to understand the overall and detailed functions of a business software application.
- Experience using analytical skills and problem solving.
- Experience in communication and working with a wide variety of associates.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook and other business software applications.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
Physicial Requirements:
- Works under general office environment conditions.
- Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
- Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and communicate.
- Personal protective equipment including safety glasses, lab coat and gloves may be required in some areas associated with this position.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA.
