The Inspector at Cook Winston-Salem is responsible to inspect products according to regulated procedures.
• Inspect products and or components per detailed specifications and/or drawings for quality, which includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Visually, dimensionally and functionally inspect product
- Determine whether the product is acceptable using prescribed standards
- Complete all necessary documentation
• Assist in training new employees in the department
• Perform daily and weekly cleaning
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Ability to read, write, and understand product specifications, drawings, work orders, labels and quality forms written in English
• Ability to use a variety of testing equipment including small measuring devices
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Majority of work is conducted in a “controlled” environment
• Visual Acuity to work with small parts
• Majority of day is spent sitting and walking within various departments
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 10lbs 90% of day; remaining 10% able to co-carry up to 35lbs
• Ability to perform fine manipulation with hands e.g. grasping, pinching pulling
