The primary purpose of the Senior Maintenance Technician position is to perform general repairs, preventive maintenance and installs of facility equipment.
Oversee, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair facility equipment ensuring a safe and productive work environment;
Disassemble mechanical equipment, repair or replace worn or broken parts, and adjust parts of mechanical devices
as needed. Inspect completed repairs;
Plan, prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work in alignment with organizational goals;
Develop, implement and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life;
Maintain continuous improvement initiatives in equipment reliability, maintenance processes, and shop organization;
Manage procurement of parts and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely availability;
Ability to work after hours and weekends as required;
Responsible for moving equipment and office furniture;
Support facility operations and special projects, including seasonal request;
Represent the Facilities function professionally in cross functional meetings, collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards, fostering a culture of accountability and hazard prevention;
Maintain regular and punctual attendance;
Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations; and
May be required to assist with special projects, facility support, or other tasks outside of regular maintenance duties as business needs dictate.
High school diploma or GED required;
Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance preferred;
Basic computer entry/retrieval skills required;
HVAC certificate or licensed electrician preferred;
Experience using a CMMS to handle work orders and PM checklist preferred;
Ability to read and interpret machine manuals/schematics, electrical blueprints/schematics and process control diagrams;
Experience troubleshooting of PLC and other control systems in an industrial environment; and
Experience working independently and with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk, bend, turn and lift/push/pull up to 80 pounds on a consistent basis;
Capable of standing on feet for a minimum of 6 hours per day, kneeling and climbing 10' ladders;
Print legibly on all paperwork; and
Personal protective equipment may be required.
