To perform the procedures necessary to correctly fill and distribute internal requisitions and external order fulfillment, receive and distribute external shipments, determine compliance to purchase orders, perform incoming material inspections and perform other departmental tasks in a timely and responsible manner.
• Read and understand procedures to handle all materials, entering and exiting the controlled stores and warehouse, etc.
• Perform various computer functions.
• Complete necessary documentation.
• Keep an organized and compliant Controlled Stores Area.
• Perform periodic inventories.
• Receive external shipments.
• Keep work area clean.
• Provide input to supervisor / manager to improve department operation and efficiency.
• Identify and report possible preventative and corrective actions.
• Works independently, referring questions and problems to the department manager.
• Confidential access to pricing, vendors, etc.
• Responsible for selecting and delivering components to manufacturing.
• Responsible for compliance to company's Quality Policy Manual.
• Responsible for compliance to company's safety policies.
• Responsible for conducting incoming inspections on raw materials.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass a post-offer physical exam and drug test.
• Ability to read, write and understand documentation and specifications.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Good documentation skills.
• Good judgment and organizational skills.
• Basic computer entry/retrieval skills.
• Good written and oral communications.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team.
Physical Requirements:
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift a minimum of 80 pounds.
• Majority of time spent standing and walking.
• Majority of day spent in clean, climate controlled rooms requiring use of safety glasses in designated areas.
• Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals used in manufacturing of products.
