Front Line Leadership is primarily tasked with departmental decisions and output on activities related to quality, operations, and the business. They are accountable to Senior Leadership and Directors for their department or functional area and are the technical experts.
Front Line Leadership functions include managing departmental resources appropriately, assessing performance, providing feedback, and identifying gaps. Front Line Leadership also must be skilled communicators, able to convey clear expectations, listen for feedback, and provide updates in a timely manner.

 

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the finance and accounting operations at Cook MyoSite, providing financial analysis and recommendations to Cook MyoSite Executives, and serving as a liaison with Cook Group Finance team. Ultimately responsible for promoting fiscal responsibility in the management of Cook MyoSite processes, assets, and resources.

Responsibilities

• Provides MyoSite and department financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Provides accurate financial KPI’s, managerial reports and recommendations for executive and management decisions.
• Prepares the company wide business plan annually, and collaborates with leadership to set budgets for each department.
• Assists business unit leaders by providing any financial, sales, and/or business insights reports as needed.
• Updates company forecast monthly and submits to Cook Group for reporting.
• Maintains and improves finance and accounting processes, procedures, and forms.
• Oversees Cost accounting for MyoSite products, Monthly inventory reporting and entries.
• Oversees Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and expense report activities.

• Understands the departmental budget, is aware of the impact of related expenses on the budget, and manages accordingly to ensure budget is not exceeded.
• Primarily responsible for departmental decisions and output.
• Effectively delegates and follows up on completion of work.
• Regularly and consistently provides status reports on all active projects and initiatives to appropriate senior managers and/or directors.
• Enforces and exemplifies company policies.
• Ability to present complex information in a clear and comprehensive manner.
• Is an effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders. Conveys clear expectations, actively listens to input and responds to feedback appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Is action orientated and follows up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes.

• Possesses the ability to develop and implement complex processes, procedures, and projects within their systems
• Oversees direct reports: Creates and executes short and long-term staff development plans.
• Develops and leads department staff through direct observation and active feedback on an ongoing basis.
• Conducts performance reviews that hold direct reports accountable to essential job functions and departmental standards of position.
• Ensures that departmental status meetings are held on regular basis and conducts monthly one on one meetings with direct reports.
• Directly responsible for department/function staff resource planning.
• Manages departmental resources appropriately and implements processes.
• Responsible for departmental hiring decisions and participates in recruitment of staff.
• Is the departmental/functional area technical expert.
• Makes day to day decisions on activities related to quality, operations and the business.

 

Qualifications

Advanced proficiency in MS Office, specifically, advanced knowledge of Excel, Project, Adobe, OneNote, Word and PowerPoint; Expert in Outlook
Basic understanding of cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and related regulations associated with Bio/Pharmaceutical product manufacturing
Proficiency working with material of a highly technical or scientific nature.

 

• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in corporate accounting

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
• Experience in Pharmaceutical or health care companies preferred

• Ability to conduct and hear ordinary conversation and telephone communication
• Must be able to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended work hours and/or extra work hours, sometimes on short notice as required
• Ability to work under specific time constraints
• Must be able to sit at desk, in meetings and/or work on a computer for long or extended periods of time
• Visual and manual acuity for working with computers and equipment
