The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for tracking inventory levels, handling all aspects of shipping and receiving, and keeping accurate records.
- Perform work in compliance with Cook Quality Policy Manual.
- Receive shipments - verify shipment and sign delivery slips, and assist with unloading as necessary.
- Accurately pull product and quantities for customer orders and prepare for shipment.
- Perform cycle counts of inventory, maintain storage area, organize and place stock on shelves. Ensures area is secure at all times.
- Process returned goods product from customers.
- Prepare stock and floor orders for shipment by checking for proper description of product, lot numbers, and recording specified amounts on the packslip.
- Operate strapping machines for final preparation prior to shipment.
- Work with FedEx and UPS systems.
- Assemble boxes, pack goods to be shipped, and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions.
- Receive shipments of supplies.
- Contact resource people for various information. Contact transport companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders.
- Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.
- Must strictly adhere to safety requirements.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Must maintain company quality and quantity standards.
- Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision.
- Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations.
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma required.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
- Moderate exposure to noise level in the work environment that is moderate to occasionally loud.
- Frequently lifts and/or moves and/or carries boxes up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work standing and be mobile for a full eight hour day.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
- Good eyesight to recognize product/catalog descriptions.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to grasp, carry, feel or touch; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch up to 8 hours daily.
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist in a repetitive motion throughout daily responsibilities.
