Overview

The Marketing Intern, Interventional Radiology will be part of the Summer Internship Program. This position is a 12-week paid internship located in Bloomington, Indiana. It is offered for a period extending from mid-May through mid-August (exact dates depend on school calendars.) This position includes 401(k) options, an assigned mentor, capstone presentation, and intern events. If working onsite, you will also have access to a fitness center, an onsite cafeteria option, and a one-time housing stipend. All internships provide hands-on experience with meaningful projects in the Medical Device Manufacturing Industry.

 

Internship Focus:

  1. Strategic Marketing
  2. Market Development

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development Drainage/Liver Access, Embolization and Access Technologies Marketing strategies for 2025
  • Complete tasks and activities required for product launches, amongst many others:
    • Help write value propositions
    • Help define go-to-market strategies
    • Assist in the development competitor profiles
    • Help conduct market assessments
    • Help define customer profiles
    • Participate in pricing discussions
    • Participate in targeting exercises
    • Help develop sales training rollouts
    • Help develop related marketing assets
  • Participate in multiple elements of the launch of marketing campaign (This could potentially be a capstone project)

 

Objectives for Intern:

  1. Learn about the elements that comprise global strategic Product marketing
  2. Learn about the elements that comprise regional product market development
  3. Learn about alignment between strategy and execution
  4. Learn about product launch plans
  5. Engage in and be actively involved in the development and execution of some of these elements.
  6. Practice communications and presentation skills
  7. Apply business and software skills where appropriate
  8. Any objective the intern would like to add to this list.

Qualifications

• All candidates should have an interest in a career in the Life Sciences field, a willingness to take initiative and an ability to work well with others

• Candidates should be students entering their Junior or Senior year the following fall semester or entering graduate school. Candidates who graduate the spring semester before this internship are also eligible

• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred

• All candidates must provide proof of enrollment (including pre-registration certification for the following fall) for consideration

• Multiple disciplines will be considered (e.g., Marketing, Communications, and Life Sciences)
