The Human Resources Generalist 1 is responsible for performing Human Resource related duties in a professional capacity, working closely with Human Resource Management to support HR processes at Cook. The Human Resources Generalist 1 will provide essential support for HR programs working cross collaboratively across multiple sites.
- Partner with hiring managers and functional leadership to achieve the overall staffing and employee development goals utilizing effective screening procedures to identify top candidates;
- Use company on-line recruiting system and other appropriate technology/venues for listing positions and sourcing candidates;
- Assist in implementation and administration of HR policies and procedures;
- Act as a resource for employee questions regarding payroll, leave management, benefits, etc;
- Process reports and maintain records as needed;
- Coordinate and assist in new employee enrollment/orientation;
- Orchestrate termination processes, including delivering termination checklists and conducting exit interviews;
- Provide administrative support for the site as needed;
- Assist in executing corporate DEI efforts locally for the site;
- Work cross functionally supporting other Cook locations onboarding initiatives as needed;
- Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization;
- Must strictly adhere to safety requirements;
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance;
- Provide conflict resolution as needed within the teams;
- Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision; and
- Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background;
- Minimum 2 years experience in HR or related area;
- Experience in customer cervice, project planning/management and employee orientation;
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the HR field;
- Works under general office environmental conditions;
- Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.;
- The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel or crouch;
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA; and
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Cook does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
